about
"Known To Move” was written by Seamus before he emigrated to Canada, when feelings of pure excitement but also nervousness were compelling to him. Leaving for a new life in a different country is daunting; but exploring, making new friends and discovering new cultures helps us grow. With this song, elbé are hoping to encourage their listeners to anticipate a brighter future in uncertain times. It's also a metaphor for the mixed feelings that come with all new things in life.
lyrics
Cold greets us with a smile,
Leaves us feeling like a child,
Time is always in the past,
Hope is all I have last,
Courage in short says I'm a fool,
Joy is all I can see,
I'm leaving so I can breathe,
A journey, left from home,
To return, back the comfort,
She's a stone.
Loves a saviour and a place,
In this life, I've known to move.
An early blossom blooms a flame,
a candle too, extinguish all the fear.
Loves a saviour and a place,
In this life, I've known to move.
