about

Elbé are back with a bang and a very timely political song. ‘So Much So Few’ expresses frustration about the futures faced by young people today and anger at the greed and inequality that is now even more visible in this world.

Locally, people are challenged daily by the housing crisis, increased cost of living and a collapsing healthcare system whilst being inundated with news on wars, a refugee crisis and the real consequences of climate change. The song focuses on the role of the wealthiest individuals in the world, and how their greed contributes to these issues.
Elbé wrote this song in hope that a more sustainable and fair way of life will be accessible for us and future generations.

lyrics

Our dues, paid more out,
Common, come on,
A lesson, less you knew, the less we all have
Half ain’t even nearly full, not even just a few.

So much to so few

Man and the wire, concerns in lieu,
Stern the ages, skin breaks, ridges anew,
Fears are laid down and we’ll rest,
I hope our foot forward is best.

Our dues, paid more out,
Common, come on,
A lesson, less you knew, the less we all have
Half ain’t even nearly full, not even just a few.

So much to so few

What have we got, for all of this,
What have have we given, that we all miss

So much to so few
